Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability is a driving force in Kirchhoff-Consigli’s culture—within our daily operations, on our job sites and in service to our clients. We continually explore ways to reduce environmental impacts, including renewable energy sources, high-performance buildings systems, sustainable materials and job site recycling. Our commitment to a greener tomorrow is demonstrated in our corporate offices, which we built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standards. Walking through our offices, you’ll experience features that make us 33% more energy efficient and reduce our carbon footprint by 38% including heating and cooling provided a geothermal well system and photovoltaic solar panels.
Kirchhoff-Consigli’s experience with projects targeting an advanced level of LEED Certification include Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock, several projects for the State University of New York (SUNY) system and the Millbrook School Math and Science Center, one of the first LEED Gold Certified projects in New York. With our long-term focus on sustainability we racked up some pretty impressive statistics. We currently have over 40 projects underway seeking sustainable certification, 15 LEED Certified projects to date, with 12 of these projects achieving Silver Level Certification or higher.
With direct experience with a wide range of green features, Kirchhoff-Consigli brings the knowledge to help guide our clients to the right combination of sustainable initiatives within the established budget.
